At St. Martin’s Riverside Institute and Rehabilitation Center, we offer comprehensive, faith-centered addiction treatment tailored to individual needs. Our recovery programs are structured into four distinct but interconnected paths, each rooted in Spiritual values and designed to support holistic healing—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Whether you're searching for the best rehab programs in Kenya or a sanctuary that honors your spiritual journey, St. Martin’s is here to walk with you.
At St. Martin’s Rehabilitation Centre, inpatient rehabilitation is a structured and supportive program designed
to help individuals overcome substance dependency through a blend of medical, psychological, and spiritual care.
Upon admission, each client receives a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs, ensuring a
focused and compassionate approach to recovery. The facility provides a safe and serene environment where residents
can step away from destructive patterns and daily stressors, allowing them to focus entirely on healing. Medically
supervised detoxification is available for individuals in the early stages of recovery, supported by professional
staff including counselors, nurses, and a consultant psychiatrist. Withdrawal symptoms are closely monitored and
managed with appropriate medications to ensure the client’s safety and comfort.
We offer safe, medically-supervised detox to help manage withdrawal and prepare the body for healing.
Our clients receive daily therapy and faith-based counselling to address the root causes of addiction.
A balanced daily schedule with nutritious meals supports phyisical and emotional stability.
Each day includes quiet moments for prayer, spiritual growth, and mental rest in a peaceful setting.
The core of the program is built around evidence-based psychotherapy, addressing not only the addiction but also co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Therapy is delivered in both individual and group settings, encouraging self-reflection, emotional expression, and peer support. Daily schedules are structured to include therapeutic sessions, spiritual counseling, educational classes, and time for rest and recreation. Nutritious meals and spiritual practices like prayer and reflection are integrated into the routine, promoting holistic wellness. The goal is for long-term transformation; helping residents rebuild a life of meaning, discipline, and resilience, grounded in faith and supported by a caring community.
Did you know that studies show combining individual and group therapy significantly boosts recovery from addiction?
We understand that addiction shakes the foundations of families, strains relationships, and leaves behind emotional wounds that are often invisible. We recognize that healing must involve the whole family, not just the individual in treatment. That’s why our Family Support & Education program is a cornerstone of our care.
Addiction may have led to lies, mistrust, and even separation. Our structured family therapy sessions create a safe, non-judgmental space where loved ones can begin to speak openly, be heard, and learn to forgive. Through the guidance of trained therapists and spiritual counselors, we work to rebuild trust, restore dignity, and create new foundations for connection. We also understand the Kenyan family dynamic; strong, interdependent, and rooted in faith. Our approach blends cultural understanding with evidence-based therapy, ensuring every family feels supported in their unique journey.
Support doesn’t stop at emotional healing. Families need the tools to help their loved one succeed after rehab. That’s why we offer educational workshops on addiction science, relapse triggers, boundaries, and care planning. We demystify the recovery process so that families don’t feel helpless or left behind. Instead, they become active participants in recovery, knowing how to respond with empathy, structure, and confidence. We also address common myths about addiction—many of which cause shame and stigma in Kenyan communities. Families leave empowered, informed, and better prepared to walk the road of healing together.
Some clients are battling long-term substance dependence. Others may be experiencing their first encounter with addiction. Some arrive with deep spiritual wounds; others are simply looking for a way out. We begin every client’s stay with a comprehensive assessment; medical, psychological, social, and spiritual. From this, our multidisciplinary team of therapists, addiction counselors, doctors, and spiritual guides designs a plan tailored specifically to them.
We understand that mental health and addiction are rarely spoken about in Kenyan households. Our programs address this stigma with compassion, using language and approaches that resonate. And while we remain proudly Kenyan, our standards meet international benchmarks. You get the best of both worlds; affordable, faith-centered care, rooted in evidence and love.
